The fish market here in Venice is so similar to the fish markets in Asia.  I was beginning to reminisce the old times when I was a young child in Hong Kong, gripping my mother’s hand and walking with her through the street market for fresh fish, meats, and vegetables.  Her home cooked meals were always so yummy.  Seeing all this fresh seafood made me wish really bad that I had a real kitchen in Venice so that I can buy and cook some fresh seafood myself.

At this fresh meat and specialty meat products store, there was a picture of a horse drawn on a display window.  I wasn’t sure if this meant horse meat is sold and eaten by the Italians?

Thanks for journeying along with me to relive a few selected moments of this Italian trip.  It had been fun, and I am thankful for the opportunity to visit this boot-shaped country that has been in so many economic news talks lately.  Be sure to come back to my blog again later this week to see Part 2 – my food experience in Italy.

  4. Your pictures are just beautiful! My husband and I went there a few years ago and the Colosseum was something else. To think of how many people and animals died is just insane! And all for sport. Its terrifying!
